Less than 24 hours on her Rimadyl/Methocarbomel drug cocktail and Emma is a puppy again.  She is bouncy and fun.  She is playing and romping with Rummy.  Which is odd because I thought she didn’t like Rummy much because she usually refuses to play with her.  Emma is bounding around the house with her head held high and a perkiness I haven’t seen in years.

So, this begs the question, Am I a bad dog parent?  Emma must have been in some serious pain for the past year (at least) because her behavior on the medicine is a drastic change.  For the past year or so, I have assumed that Emma is just aging and slowing down because that is what old age does to people and dogs.  But now I am thinking that she was slowing down because she was hurting.
