Super Tuesday…

Since neither the RNC nor the DNC have naming rights to the voting states today, I can actually use the name Super Tuesday, instead of the insipid Big Vote Day, like the NFL would have made me use.

Yesterday a woman blogger that I read said the day was, “like Christmas Eve for political junkies.”  I couldn’t have agreed more.  Only this year for Christmas I am expecting flannel pajamas and braces.  The end of the day will probably bring me John McCain as the Republican nominee.  At least the Democrats are getting a new bike or stereo, depending on who they choose.

So, if you live in the following states, go vote or caucus or whatever it is you do:  Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah

If you are a Democrat in the following states, go vote or caucus or whatever it is you do:  Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico

If you are a Republican in the following states, go vote or caucus or whatever it is you do:  Montana, West Virginia

S and I both woke up exhausted this morning.  As I drove her to work she mapped out a plan in which we would go to bed really early tonight.  I told her it was wonderful plan but that I wouldn’t be able to participate because I was going to be watching Super Tuesday coverage all night long.  I then promised that after McCain won the nomination I would just sleep until next November because nothing good will be happening after that.  Yes, I am still gloomy about the election

The only thing that keeps me going is the hope that Barak Obama gives Hillary Clinton one hell of a fight today.
